Meet CELADON and SOUFFLOT.
The passage describes the main character walking down Rue de Soufflot on a spring morning. The sun shines
through the horse chestnut trees, flowers are brought up from the
market and the air is filled with morning brioche, coffee and tobacco.
When Mathieu Nardin read 'The Sun Also Rises' he immediately
wanted to recreate the olfactive memory he had of an early morning
stroll at the Luxembourg garden in Paris.
DISCOVER SOUFFLOT
Overloaded with descriptive feeling, the page speaks of a “shower of
rain", "the purity of the snow", and
"the beauteous jade". This world of waxy green grass and clear white
purity informed perfumer Karine Vinchon-Spehner's sparkling interpretation in Celadon. She
wanted to use notes that felt unique to the Chinese origin of the
novel, so the cardamom, magnolia, the smoked tea, and mate tea take us to China.
